Hhmm.. I duno if it's my screen or my eyes. Although the horizon is distinct and the colours are beautiful, I can't see a focal point in this photo. And for me, the water ripples are a bit blur which can be distracting. Did you resize and soften the image (noting your watermark is also soften)? :)

This is an interesting project btw Sharma... :)

Hi Mell and Elixelle,

Thanks for the comments...

I did so some cropping and straighten the horizon. I will try to do some changes to the picture and will repost it. My pp skills is not good at all, learning as I go along.

Thanks for the hits people...

my 2 rupiah sharma.

for scenery shots, i think you should go wide, in your case, 18mm.

at 55mm, you lost a lot of panoramic scene, which is beautiful.

also, i agree with elixelle & mell that there is lack of focus in this photo.

maybe the 1.1s is too long or u need to use a tripod to speady your shots.

okies... now the photo looks more alive so to speak.. :) edges are sharper and more defined.. I still think the photo is too general and lacks the emphasis on the sunset.. nevertheless, it's a nice shot..

Danny,
Will keep the focal length issue in mind for my next sunset. I shot in Aperture Priority for this photo. Will try changing to Shutter Priority next.

Nick,
Thanks for dropping by. Hope to see you here more often. Do comment as well.

Mell,
I like your methaphor. Still learning here. Not even baby steps yet, now only want to turn on the belly. hahahha.. nice pictures you have. Should plan an outing someday.

elixelle,
Lousy weather here in Sabah. Will wait for the next clear weather and capture another sunset. Might change location. Any idea where?

I know!! Especially with the winds coming our way the next few days to come. Sometimes it's not so much the location of the shot than it is the angle you take it in. I once saw a photo taken of Kg Sembulan Lama at the drain bordering Sadong and it was beautiful!
