Photographer's Comments
It was another wet day here in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. I was in town to check on site that I was working on any had my camera along with me. I had initially wanted to do some street photography but the rain had put stop to that idea. Instead, I went to a famous landmark here in Kota Kinabalu, which is the Signal Hill Observatory Platform. I took a few shots, and I think this one works the best. The clouds were quite thick, making the sunset look somewhat dull. Comments on how to improve this photo, composition wise or post processing is highly appreciated.

As far as this picture goes, I think it's a good sunset photo. A good wet sunset photo that is and it works. I agree the colours tend to be a bit dull here but if you want, you can always brighten the foreground (i.e. buildings & streets) via PP using a selective brightening approach and adjust the contrast accordingly to suit the changes.
Composition wise, its technically well done, with the sunset off to the right and a nice foreground to background perspective created by the buildings. I would recommend shooting this in HDR as it would def bring out more of the foreground color (i.e. the buildings)and give a bit more detail to the sunset.
Elixelle,
Need to learn to work with layers in Elements. Will practice more and hopefully the next sunset will be better. Thanks for commenting.
Samuel,
thanks. Haven't really tried HDR. Will try to do some reading and experimenting on HDR.
