Photographer's Comments
Another gloomy day here in Kota Kinabalu. I was at a site that I am working on at the moment, and I looked around for photo opportunity. Not much greenery around as the site is located on a rooftop of a building. As I was walking around, I saw this padlock. Comments on how to improve this photo, composition wise or post processing is highly appreciated.

I like the fact that the doorframe (as I'm asuming it is) is not vertical, like the other lines in the image - gives it a slight abstract hint, I find.

What post-production was carried out in PSE?

How do you post so large images on blogspot? I can't seemed to do it on my site. Can share?

Keep up the good work Sharma.
You coming back to Sandakan? Let me know ya, orelse we can meet at KK on 29th Jan - 2nd Feb. I will be there. =)

Rupert,
Thanks for your comment. Yes, it is a door frame.

I increased the contrast, and the saturation in PSE. Then did some sharpening and unsharpen mask.

Patrick,
I am not using the standard blogger template. Scroll down to the end of this blog and you will the the link to the blog template that I am using. Kinda hard to explain here. Will explain further when I meet you online or in Sandakan. Btw, I would be around for CNY, will be flying off to KL.

Another nice shot here. Maybe you can adjust the brightness of the photo. But then again, it shows the gloomy weather we're having with this lighting. LOL!!!

have you tried converting this to bw? I'm thinking it would do quite nicely for this kind of shot.

as for composition, I would have taken this parallel to the wall and door rather than at an angle, like what you did.

Elixelle,
Yeah... weather still gloomy at the moment... I wonder when we get to see bright sunny days again...

Anon,
Terima Kasih

Perry,
Thanx for the suggestion. I will try to experiment this shot in black and white.
