More puppies, courtesy of Togo The Dog. There are actually 4 puppies all together, but getting all four of the in one frame would require a miracle. Managed to get 3 of them here, the other one was hidden under the couch. Comments on how to improve this photo, composition wise or post processing is highly appreciated.

Photographer's Comments
This photo is of a prayer altar in my sister's house. There is a few bells on the altar itself but I decided to isolate and take only one bell. I kind of like the outline that is made around the brass bell. Looks like a bell in a bell. Hope that sentence made sense. Used a higher ISO and increase the exposure level as I was shooting in a low light condition. Comments on how to improve this photo, composition wise or post processing is highly appreciated.

This cute little husky puppy belong to my sister (read : Togo The Dog). There were four of them running around and it is quite difficult to capture all of them at once. I will try to get a group shot of them for my upcoming posting. Comments on how to improve this photo, composition wise or post processing is highly appreciated.

This shot was inspired by Danny's Day 23 entry titled 'Money Money Money'. Since I don't have a wad of cash stashed at my home, I decided to substitute it with something that I have a lot in my drawer; coins. Used my DIY Lightbox again for this shot and made some minor adjustment to the contrast and saturation in Photoshop Elements. Sorry for the lack of update for Day 021 and Day 023. I was down with fever, flu and sore throat. I am feeling much better now and thank you to all those who have been visiting my blog in anticipation for a new photo. Sorry to disappoint all of you. Here is my take for Day 023. I left a cigarette burning to show the illusion of time. Shows that the someone, somewhere is waiting for something. Light source was from a single candle. Converted it to black and white increased the contrast a bit. Comments on how to improve this photo, composition wise or post processing is highly appreciated.

Continuation from what I did for Day 019. This time, Danny to me to try lining up a few candles and use a wider aperture value to get a blurred background (bokeh). Did a few variations of this shot, and this is the best that I could get. Comments on how to improve this photo, composition wise or post processing is highly appreciated.

Fine weather here in Kota Kinabalu today. I was in town visiting my site, and happened to pass by Padang Merdeka. There was an event in conjunction with the upcoming Chinese New Year celebration. I was with a friend and we dicided to stop by and enjoy the show. Luckily I had my camera with me. We were there at about 5.00pm, and we thought that the event will take place that at night. To our dismay, the event has just ended and everyone was leaving the area. Not wanting to waste an oportunity, I decided to walk around and try to capture something that is worth taking. Saw this particular dragon in one of the tents. Could have composed the shot better, but there were lots of people around, and it was quite hard to capture a decent shot. Walked around my work place to look for some photo opportunity. In case some of you are wondering, my work place is a warehouse with a small office space. That explains the presence of a spider in my office. Used my Raynox DCR 250 to magnify the spider further. I did a close crop for the photo, thus explaining why the spider's legs has been chopped. Another gloomy day here in Kota Kinabalu. I was at a site that I am working on at the moment, and I looked around for photo opportunity. Not much greenery around as the site is located on a rooftop of a building. As I was walking around, I saw this padlock. Photographer's Comments
Based on the feedback on my previous posting of the sea shells, I decided to retake the sea shell from Day 009. I also used a smaller aperture value (f/32) to maximize the depth of field (DOF) based on the feedback I received for Day 012. Hopefully there is an improvement this time. Yet another wet day here in Kota Kinabalu. Got myself a pair of new thumb drives today. Used my DIY Lightbox to capture this photo. Set the aperture to f/20 to get as much depth in the photo as possible. Did some PP on the contrast and saturation to bring out the colour of the thumb drives. Weather is terrible here in Kota Kinabalu at the moment, and it is making it quite a task to take a photo outdoor. This is another seashell in my collection. Decided to go close this time to try and capture the texture of the seashell. I used the Raynox DCR 250 close up filter as I do not own any macro lenses at the moment. Picture taken in my DIY Lightbox to maximize the light and was shot handheld. Comments on how to improve this photo, composition wise or post processing is highly appreciated.

I went down to Kota Kinabalu Town to have a go at street shooting at the famous Gaya Street Tamu. It was there that I came upon a local celebrity who was doing a promotional event for a local recording company. It was a bright and sunny day, and there was quite a crowd there. Managed to get close enough to capture this shot. Comments on how to improve this photo, composition wise or post processing is highly appreciated.

It was another wet day here in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. I was in town to check on site that I was working on any had my camera along with me. I had initially wanted to do some street photography but the rain had put stop to that idea. Instead, I went to a famous landmark here in Kota Kinabalu, which is the Signal Hill Observatory Platform. I took a few shots, and I think this one works the best. The clouds were quite thick, making the sunset look somewhat dull. Photographer's Comments
This photo was taken in my house using a DIY Lightbox as in the previous posting. I placed a red paper as the background this time, as white background doesn't really bring out the shell. I adjusted the lighting position, as to avoid the same mistakes that I made in the previous picture. Photo was taken handheld, and minor adjustment to the contast and colour saturation was made to bring out the colour of the shell. Comments on how to improve this photo, composition wise or post processing is highly appreciated.

This photo was taken in my house using a DIY Lightbox. The lighting is somewhat not bring enough, hence the shadow on the sides are visible. Camera was mounted on a tripod as to minimize handshake due to small aperture used for this shot. Comments on how to improve this photo, composition wise or post processing is highly appreciated.
